Programs
Italian
Students from all classes receive weekly lessons in Italian. Kindergarten to Year 2 will receive 90 minutes per wee and years 3 to 6 will receive 2 hours per week.
The Italian program is jointly funded by parents, the parents and citizen's association, Co.As.It. Sydney (an Italian social welfare organisation) and the school.
Debating
Annandale North enters a debating competition against 9 other local schools.
Debating provides an opportunity for senior students to work cooperatively in a team situation and utilise their leadership skills. The debating squad consists of two teams (negative and affirmative). Debates are held in terms 2 and 3.
Each year the school enters students from Kindergraten to Year 2 in the Ultimo Directorate Public Speaking Competition and Years 3 to 6 in the Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition.
Chess
Weekly afternoon chess lessons are conducted by the chess academy. These lessons are available for students of all ages.
