ANPS P&C Band and Strings Program
ANPS Band and Strings Program
Annandale North Public School has an extensive Music Program in which we hope to provide the students that participate in it with a valuable and enriching musical experience whilst having lots of fun.
We have 6 ensembles in total, including 2 concert bands, an orchestra and three string ensembles. All of these groups rehearse on a weekly basis.
Our concert bands …
A concert band is made up of three families of instruments; woodwind, brass and percussion. The bands at Annandale North consist of flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, trombones, euphoniums, tubas and percussion. We have a Junior and Senior Band to cater for students from Years 3-6.
Our string Ensembles …
A string ensemble is made up from violins, violas, cellos and Double Basses. We have a Junior, Chamber and Senior String Ensemble. These ensembles cater for students from Years 1-6.

Being involved in one our ensembles gives the children the opportunity to participate in performances for the school community and assemblies. They also take part in Band Festivals and Music Festivals with the Department of Education.
